Metro staff will distribute free life jackets while supplies last and help families learn safer ways to enjoy natural water. Expected sizes include infant jackets for children under 50 pounds, child sizes for 33–55 pounds, youth sizes for 55–88 pounds, and adult and adult XL.
Practical details
- Parking costs $5 per car or $7 per van or bus.
- Children and teens must attend with an adult.
- Close supervision remains essential because the Columbia River has currents, cold water, underwater hazards, and uneven footing.
Service animals are welcome. Free interpretation, translation, and disability accommodations are available when requested at least three business days ahead.
