The museum opens free to everyone for a full day of exhibitions and activities focused on portraiture, storytelling, memory, and representation.
Family highlights
- Noon–3 p.m.: drop-in sun-print artmaking.
- 4–6 p.m.: 20-minute “Look With Me” sessions begin every 30 minutes.
- All day: families may join The Hands of Portland: Holding On, a community photography project built around gesture, touch, and shared memories. Minors must attend with an adult.
Free tickets may be reserved online one week ahead or obtained at the door. Program spaces are wheelchair accessible; advance notice is requested for specific accommodations.
