ForestFest is a free day of forest discovery, creativity and outdoor fun presented with the U.S. Forest Service’s Forests250 initiative. Families can explore interactive children’s zones, crafts, lawn games, workshops, a traveling sawmill, community booths, food vendors and the new Woodsy Owl pop-up exhibit. Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl will make appearances during the day.

- Family music at 10:30 a.m.
- A family-focused drag hike at 10:30 a.m.; separate registration required
- Children’s author storytimes at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Forest-story recording booths from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2–4 p.m.
- Moon Tree dedication at 1:30 p.m.
- Live music in the afternoon
Some specialty workshops and the afternoon hike have separate fees or content notes. General ForestFest admission and the core all-day activities are free.
