Bring a picnic blanket to the meadow off the Bike Trail for an evening introduction to Tryon Creek’s bats. Rangers will explain the Little Brown, Silver-haired and Big Brown bats found in the park—and the roles bats play as pollinators, seed dispersers, fertilizers and insect controllers—before helping the group spot animals after dusk.
The meadow is about a five-minute walk from the main parking lot. No registration is required. The program itself is free, but parking requires an annual Oregon State Parks pass or a $10 day pass.
