Arts Landing
803 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 · Directions
Downtown
Picklesburgh brings pickle-themed food, drinks, vendors, live local music, games and new pickleball programming to Downtown. Although this occurrence is anchored at Arts Landing, the larger festival footprint reaches Market Square, PPG Plaza, Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the Sister Bridges and Allegheny Landing. View the festival map.
For children
The Li’l Gherkins KidsPlay area sits at the Penn Avenue side of Arts Landing. Children can play pickle-themed carnival games—including jar toss, duck pond, beanbag toss and derby races—for $2 per play; tickets are sold onsite without reservations. Children and adults must enter together, and adult supervision is required. Playground equipment is designated for ages 5–12, with a smaller cluster for ages 2–5. Pets other than service animals are not permitted. See the children’s-area details.
Arts Landing also hosts painted pickleball courts with demonstrations, tournaments, beginner clinics, learn-to-play sessions and first-come, first-served open play. Festival admission and spectating are free, though clinics have limited capacity and food, merchandise and carnival games cost extra.
Accessibility and arrival
The outdoor festival footprint is paved and wheelchair navigable. ADA restrooms are distributed around the festival, service animals are welcome, and cooling misters are planned near the children’s area. Downtown road closures and transit detours are expected; nearby garages remain accessible but some charge event rates. Review accessibility information and transportation guidance.
