This glasshouse celebration marks the final bloom and natural decline of Phipps’ roughly 50-year-old Agave americana. Horticulturists will explain the plant’s life cycle, its enormous bloom—which required removal of a Desert Room roof pane—and the “pups” that preserve its legacy.

Families can explore the Alice-themed Summer Flower Show while the event runs. A cashless bar serves agave-inspired cocktails and mocktails, and the first 300 guests arriving at 5 p.m. or later can receive a complimentary potted succulent. The program is included with regular admission.
