Encanto
Tlingit artist and animator Sydney Isaacs-Hulstine shares how drawings become finished animation. The visiting artist helped create both the PBS KIDS series Molly of Denali and the museum’s related experience.
Schedule
- 10–11 a.m.: Character-development drawing session.
- 11 a.m.–noon: Tale of the Totem/Ice Sculpture screening followed by questions about the animation process.
- 12:30–1:30 p.m.: Guided drawing workshop using imagery from the series.
- 1:30–2 p.m.: Character drawing and an informal meet-and-greet.
The program is designed for aspiring artists, storytellers and curious creators of all ages. The Molly of Denali experience is included with regular museum admission during the event.
