Valley Youth Theatre stages the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's story about a brilliant, imaginative girl with psychokinetic powers. Encouraged by Miss Honey, Matilda faces the child-hating headmistress Miss Trunchbull with courage and cleverness.
Dennis Kelly's book and Tim Minchin's songs power a high-energy production filled with dance, childhood mischief and a strong girl-centered story. Recommended for all ages, it runs approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, including intermission. Accessible seating, assisted-listening devices and sensory-friendly kits are available.
