Infinity Day: Explore the Infinite Universe at Flashlight Nights — Math in Bloom

Explore the patterns and cycles that link water, plants, animals, people and the wider universe. This special program takes place within Flashlight Nights, combining glowing trails and nighttime nature encounters with hands-on mathematics and science.

Activity stations

• Follow the agave life cycle and take home an agave pup.
• Trace a water molecule through the pond ecosystem and examine amphibian life cycles.
• Complete a Main Trail scavenger hunt for circles, repeated forms and illuminated surprises.
• Experiment with kaleidoscopes, teleidoscopes and immersive infinity mirrors.
• Learn about the Garden’s herbarium, seed conservation and other plant-protection work.
• Meet wildlife-care volunteers and investigate how reptiles, birds and amphibians grow and adapt.
• Build a model galaxy and explore how expanding space separates galaxies.
