A day of short films presents Alaska Native stories and perspectives, with an in-person conversation about animation and filmmaking.
Screening schedule
- 10 a.m.–noon: Shaaghan Neekwaii (Two Old Women) plays continuously.
- 11 a.m.–noon: Animator Sydney Isaacs-Hulstine (Tlingit) joins moderator Patty Talahongva (Hopi) for a discussion and audience Q&A.
- Noon–4 p.m.: Three films loop continuously: Gath & K’iyh: Listen to Heal (9 minutes), Diiyeghan Naii Taii Tr’eedaa (We Will Walk the Trail of Our Ancestors) (6 minutes) and This Is a Story About Salmon (6 minutes).
Families may enter during the screening blocks rather than remaining for the entire six-hour program.
