Celebrate the opening of exhibitions honoring Arizona Artist Awards recipients Alice Leora Briggs, Jan Talmadge Davids, Christopher Ignacio, and Shaunté Glover. A community reception begins in Great Hall South at 5 p.m., before the scheduled artist talk.
In Whiteman Hall, Scult Family Artist Award recipient Alice Leora Briggs will discuss her technical process, recent work, and creative practice. The accompanying exhibitions range across drawing, site-specific installation, puppetry, video, clay, mixed media, photography, printmaking, and sculpture, exploring mortality, identity, landscape, representation, and place.
