Nature at Noon: Discovery Center at East Park Reservoir

Explore wildlife around East Park Reservoir during an inclusive nature outing. The Discovery Center’s indoor observation space offers views of waterfowl and herons, and participants may use identification apps such as iNaturalist or Merlin Bird ID with guidance from program staff. Binoculars and Free Library birding backpacks are available while supplies last.

Meet in the Discovery Center parking lot. The paved approach is ADA accessible; the wide grass trail has a short mulch section, roots and a somewhat steep entrance, while the water walk has a one- to two-inch lip and one step. Bathrooms and water fountains are inside. The gravel lot has two van-accessible spaces, and bus routes 32 and 3 stop nearby. Active rain may postpone or cancel the outing, with a decision posted by 11 a.m.
