An educator leads a one-hour first-floor tour of Isaiah Zagar’s 10,000-square-foot mosaicked warehouse, followed by time to look more closely. Families learn about the artist, his influences and collaborators, the studio’s tile-making and material-collecting history, and current preservation work.
Doors open 15 minutes early. The tour is indoors; most of the first floor is step-free, though the entrance has a concrete lip and the restroom is not ADA compliant. Parking is extremely limited, so walking, biking, or transit is encouraged. Bring water and avoid touching the mosaics. Tickets are nonrefundable.
