An expert guide leads families through FDR Park’s open-air Southeast Asian Market, where Khmer, Lao, Vietnamese, and Thai vendors sell street food, drinks, produce, clothing, spices, fermented pastes, and other goods. A few vendors provide small samples during the tour; families who want a full meal should bring additional cash because many stalls do not accept cards.

The group meets at the boathouse and walks about 10 minutes to the market. The outing is intended for adults and families with children 10 or older; every minor needs a ticket and an accompanying adult. Wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear because the busy vendor area can become muddy, dress for the weather, and bring water—especially if sampling spicy food.

Portable toilets are available nearby. Most prepared-food choices contain meat or seafood, with limited vegetarian selections. The tour leaves shortly after its scheduled start, and late arrivals may not be able to find the group. Light rain does not stop the program; severe weather may cause cancellation and a full refund.
