Celebrate the history of America's first zoo with family games and activities, live entertainment, animal-ambassador meet-and-greets, giveaways, and photo stations. A free Teddy Bear Clinic will also be offered with the Zoo's veterinary team and students from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The program connects the Zoo's 1859 incorporation and 1874 public opening with Philadelphia's America 250 “52 Weeks of Firsts” celebration. Activities are included with regular Zoo admission or membership.
