Bug Fest 2026

Celebrate insects and other invertebrates with the Academy’s Roach Races, scientist-led Bug Walks on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and activities for children and adults. Families can investigate insect biodiversity, examine rare and newly discovered specimens from the Entomology Collection and invent bugs in the Busy Bees Kids Zone.

Researchers and other bug enthusiasts will discuss how invertebrates affect science, conservation and communities. Visitors can also explore the Academy’s native plant garden and learn how pollinators depend on its plants. The festival is included with museum admission; members may claim one limited-edition poster per membership while supplies last.
