DJ Valentin Flores and Dance Philly host an outdoor evening of salsa at FDR Park. An instructor-led, all-levels dance lesson runs from 7–8 p.m., followed by an open social dance until 11 p.m. Families may attend either part or stay for both.
All ages and experience levels are welcome, with an adult required for minors. Taqueria Morales will sell food and accept cash, cards, and Venmo. Bring water and snacks because there is no nearby drinking fountain, along with sunscreen and bug spray. Alcohol may not be brought into the event.
Gateway Plaza is an accessible, pedestrian-friendly entrance to the park with seating, bike racks, water misters, and native plantings. Portable toilets are nearby. Drivers can enter from Pattison Avenue near Broad Street and follow signs to park lots; the plaza is also directly across from SEPTA’s NRG Station.
