The Alumni Company Presents: Henry VI: War of the Roses

Young Company alumni combine all three parts of Shakespeare’s Henry VI trilogy into one sweeping account of ambition, loyalty, betrayal, shifting alliances, and the struggle for power that ignites the Wars of the Roses.

Richard Width’s adaptation was first performed by the Young Company in 2002. This revival reunites artists from multiple program cohorts while revisiting a work with a long history in the company. Patrons collecting the theater’s War of the Roses passport stickers may bring their passports to complete missing trilogy entries.

The production runs two hours, including a 15-minute intermission. Its political intrigue and battle-centered story make it most practical for older school-age children and teens.
