Track Shack's 49th Celebration of Running begins with a chip-timed 5K at 7:30 a.m. on a certified course through downtown neighborhoods and the Mills 50 area. The route passes two lakes, follows part of the Orlando Urban Trail and finishes near live music. Registered 5K finishers receive a shirt and medal; awards begin at 8:30 a.m.
Kids' Run
The free AdventHealth for Children Kids' Run starts at 8:45 a.m. and is recommended for ages 12 and under. Age-grouped distances range from 100 yards to one mile, and registered finishers receive a medal; shirts are first come, first served. Race-week registration is available.
The event benefits the Track Shack Youth Foundation and Orlando Science Center. The race is held rain or shine, though organizers may alter or cancel it for safety. Baby carriers, backpacks, skates, scooters, bicycles, skateboards and animals are prohibited on the race course.
