A Lauritzen Gardens horticulture specialist leads a walk through the public garden created on a former parking lot. The tour covers more than 150 trees and shrubs, 22,000 perennials and four garden areas while explaining the site’s history, design and construction.
The landscape was designed by Piet Oudolf with James Corner Field Operations. Time is reserved for photography and independent exploration, so participants may bring a camera. The tour meets at 1213 Jones Street.
