Aksarben Village
Big Dreams is a free, inclusive family festival created to welcome children of all abilities. The day begins with the Race for Big Dreams at 9 a.m.; festival areas open at 9:30 a.m. Peppa Pig and George present Pirate Island, Koo Koo performs a family music set, and the stage also features BluesEd's True Blues, Omaha Conservatory's Frontier Strings, Circle Theatre, School of Rock, and Metro Stars Gymnastics.
Festival areas
- Possibility Playground: Art, music, games, movement, sensory activities, face painting, bubbles, maker experiences, and hands-on stations from community partners including Omaha Children's Museum, Fontenelle Forest, Omaha Supernovas, Autism Action Partnership, Girl Scouts Nebraska, and the Omaha Fire Department.
- The Village: Local vendors, nonprofit organizations, family resources, activities, and giveaways.
- The Patio and Pavilion: Food trucks, food stands, and a beverage tent. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
The festival grounds are fenced, with entrances at the northwest and northeast corners. Restrooms are located at the park's west end. Seating is limited, so families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking is available throughout Aksarben Village and in nearby public lots and garages.
Festival admission is free. Fees and separate registration apply only to the optional 5K, fun run-walk, and Lap of Champions.
