Adventure District
Explore a walk-through display featuring more than 60 animatronic dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Families will also find skeletons, fossil-dig activities and photo opportunities while learning how present-day zoo animals are related to prehistoric species and how conservation helps protect them.
Planning notes
The attraction normally operates from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. within the calendar window, weather permitting. Zoo admission is required separately, and attraction purchases are nonrefundable. On the first Sunday of each month, movement, sound and effects are disabled from 9:30–10:30 a.m. for a sensory-friendly hour. Optional dinosaur rides cost $6 each or $15 for three and require attraction admission.
