Directions

Route

  1. Start at the High Line's southern end at Gansevoort Street using an entrance that fits your access needs.
  2. Follow the continuous elevated walkway north through Chelsea without descending at intermediate access points.
  3. Reach the northern end near 34th Street after approximately 1.45 miles.
  4. If current rules permit two-way travel, turn around and retrace the elevated path to Gansevoort Street; otherwise use the route only one way and arrange a separate return.

Good to know

This doubles the approximately 1.45-mile linear park for the return. Use the same out-and-back only when current visitor rules allow two-way travel; elevator outages, stair-only entrances, construction, crowd controls, and events can change access.
