Directions
Route
- Start at the High Line's southern end at Gansevoort Street using an entrance that fits your access needs.
- Follow the continuous elevated walkway north through Chelsea without descending at intermediate access points.
- Reach the northern end near 34th Street after approximately 1.45 miles.
- If current rules permit two-way travel, turn around and retrace the elevated path to Gansevoort Street; otherwise use the route only one way and arrange a separate return.
Good to know
This doubles the approximately 1.45-mile linear park for the return. Use the same out-and-back only when current visitor rules allow two-way travel; elevator outages, stair-only entrances, construction, crowd controls, and events can change access.
