Children can explore the museum’s exhibitions and collection through an open-ended, hands-on art project. Activities may incorporate collage, drawing, fiber art, storytelling, and other materials, with projects changing monthly. Young artists may take their work home or leave it on display for other visitors.
This is a drop-in program, so families may arrive at any point during the three-hour session. It is designed for children ages 3 and older accompanied by a parent, grandparent, babysitter, or other caregiver.
Admission and access
- The program is included with museum admission. Visitors ages 18 and under and residents of ZIP codes 10029, 10035, and 10037 receive free admission.
- New York City residents may choose pay-what-you-can admission at the ticket counter; online tickets are sold at the full admission price. See the museum’s admission and transportation information.
- An accessible ramp entrance is available on East 104th Street.
