The M.A.R. Quintet performs a free jazz concert as part of the family-friendly Harlem Meer Performance Festival. The ensemble is led by New York-based Colombian saxophonist, composer, producer, and educator M. Alex Ramirez, whose work emphasizes emotional honesty, collaboration, and musical experimentation. Ramirez placed third in the 2020 Carinthia International Jazz Award Competition and released the EP Coalescence.

All ages are welcome, and no ticket or advance registration is needed. The outdoor plaza is accessible to wheelchair users, offers a nearby accessible restroom, and has a limited number of chairs for visitors who need them. Guests may bring food and nonalcoholic drinks; concessions and plaza picnic areas are not available. The festival operates rain or shine except during severe weather.
