Created for City of Water Day, this project introduces families to boats on the Hudson River. Children can build a sailboat or raft from assorted upcycled materials, then keep it as a small sculpture or experiment to see whether it floats.

The workshop is drop-in, and advance registration is not required. Families may arrive at any point during the program window to make their project.
Accessibility and arrival
Wave Hill House has a ground-level accessible entrance with a power-assist door. Its ground-floor restroom is all-gender and ADA-compliant, with additional accessible restrooms reached by elevator.
