Chess Lecture & Simul with Michael Rohde

Grandmaster Michael Rohde leads a 30-minute instructional lecture before taking on as many as 30 participants simultaneously. Rohde became a chess master at age 13, earned the International Master title in 1976 and Grandmaster title in 1988, and has twice won the Marshall Chess Club Championship.

Participation

The program is free and open to players age 6 and older. Prior chess experience is required to join the simul, although beginners may attend as spectators. Advance registration is recommended because participation is capped at 30 players; a small number of walk-up places will be offered first come, first served.
