YALA Baby Artsplay!: Tiny Motor Scooters

This free, 30-minute Young Audiences of Louisiana workshop pairs young children with their caregivers for multisensory arts-based learning. Certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists guide the activities and demonstrate techniques adults can reuse at home.

“Tiny Motor Scooters” explores fine-motor development—the small-muscle skills children use throughout daily life. Families will learn playful ways to get those muscles moving. Participants may attend this workshop alone or register separately for other sessions in the six-part series, with digital Connection Cards available for continued practice.

Advance registration is required for every workshop. The museum offers baby-changing stations, wheelchair-accessible facilities and elevators, and first-come sensory-friendly backpacks containing noise-canceling headphones and fidgets.
