This developing theatrical experience combines live music, dance, narration, and an interactive workshop in the museum’s third-floor Performance Center. Audience members are invited to discuss the work and offer feedback as the creative team transforms the scripted play The Mermaid of New Orleans into a more participatory production.
Schedule

The featured artists include musicians Bill Taft, Brian Halloran, Will Fratesi, Katie Butler, Billy Fields, and Will Hamilton; dancer Jennifer Ramos; and writer-narrator Amy Kirk DuVoisin.
Venue access: Elevators reach the Performance Center, and the museum currently provides ramp access at its Esplanade Avenue entrance.
