Common yarrow has finely divided, fernlike leaves and many tiny white flowers gathered into broad, flat-topped clusters.
Its long flowering season makes it a useful summer subject in meadows, pollinator plantings, and other sunny open spaces across the Pacific Northwest lowlands.
