Belle Meade
Black Arts Bash is an all-ages, daylong celebration of Black creativity. The 2026 “Next Gen” theme centers emerging voices through music, dance, visual art, spoken word, food and hands-on participation. Children can join a collaborative multigenerational artwork and an art activity inspired by Harlem Renaissance sculptor Augusta Savage.
Family highlights
- Children’s author Dorena Williamson presents storytimes at 10 and 11 a.m.
- Sankofa African Drum and Dance performs at noon and 2 p.m.
- A fashion presentation begins at 3 p.m.
- Music runs on Arboretum Lawn from 1–8 p.m.
- Community art activities run through the afternoon.
- Food and arts vendors are available during the day.
A separate cocktail-tasting lounge from 6–8 p.m. is restricted to guests 21 and older; the remainder of the festival is family-friendly. All event tickets include Mansion access. Advance reservations are available, and nonmembers pay a parking fee.
