Celebrate honey bees, native bees, and other pollinators at a free outdoor gathering near Lyndale Park’s Perennial Garden and Phelps Fountain. Scientists, beekeepers, educators, artists, musicians, food vendors, and other exhibitors will share ways these small creatures affect the world and how people can help them thrive.
Activities
- Make bee-inspired art with the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
- Take a 30-minute garden walk with a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board horticulturist at 5:30 or 7 p.m.
- Hear Prairie Clamor at 6 p.m. and Brass Messengers at 7 p.m.
- Find interactive exhibits, games, honey-related activities, Taco Taxi food, and University of Minnesota honey ice cream.
All ages are welcome, and registration is not required. Disability accommodations may be requested from the University of Minnesota Extension event contact; requests made at least two weeks ahead have the best chance of being fulfilled.
