Dr. Áila O’Loughlin leads a woodland walk highlighting boreal plants—such as birch, pine, blueberries, and sweetgrass—that grow both in Sápmi and around North America’s Great Lakes. Stops pair natural-history observations with each plant’s Northern Sámi name.
Advance registration is required. The wildflower garden’s trails are natural, sometimes narrow, hilly, and rugged, so sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are advisable.
