The closing reception marks the final evening of Tia-Simone Gardner's Bitter Sweet Earths exhibition. Gardner's photography and interdisciplinary work examines Black relationships to land, the geography of her hometown of Fairfield, Alabama, and landscapes shaped by extraction and erasure.
This is a gallery-style art program rather than a children's activity, but older school-age children interested in contemporary photography, place and history could reasonably attend with an adult.
