The Glenn Miller Orchestra brings its touring big-band show to Allen-Bradley Hall, recreating the sound and style associated with the ensemble more than 80 years ago. The 15-piece orchestra appears with lead singers and a vocal group for a program designed to blend musical history, nostalgia, and the energy of a live swing performance.
The repertoire is expected to feature enduring favorites such as “In the Mood,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “American Patrol,” “A String of Pearls,” “Little Brown Jug,” “Pennsylvania 6-5000,” “Tuxedo Junction,” and the orchestra’s theme, “Moonlight Serenade.” The touring ensemble has operated continuously since 1956 and presents more than 200 concerts and dances each year.
