German Fest — Friday

German Fest opens with live music, food, cultural demonstrations, dancing, the Marktplatz, and family entertainment across the lakefront grounds. Children can visit the Northwestern Mutual Community Park activity area for crafts and other hands-on fun.

Friday’s children’s area runs in the late afternoon and evening, while Glockenspiel shows are scheduled several times. Security screening and bag inspection are required; only approved small or clear bags are permitted, with an exception for appropriately sized diaper and medical bags.
