The Zoo’s four-day food-and-music festival combines more than 30 Milwaukee restaurants with animal enrichment, giveaways, photo opportunities and live entertainment across six stages. Friday’s main-stage program includes youth rock from School of Rock MKE, Americana-country band jackrabbit. featuring Dermot Mulroney and country headliner Chris Lane.

Friday music highlights

  • Miller Lite Caribou Stage: School of Rock MKE at 11:30 a.m.; DJ Doc B at 3 p.m.; jackrabbit. featuring Dermot Mulroney at 6 p.m.; Chris Lane at 7:30 p.m.
  • Flamingo Stage: The Healing Band at noon; Zach Pietrini Band at 2:45 p.m.; Wonderful Bluffer at 4:45 p.m.; The Mighty Ms. Erica Trio at 6:45 p.m.
  • Zoofari Stage: SSAANN at noon; Modern Joey at 2 p.m.; The Racing Pulses at 4 p.m.; Group of the Altos at 6 p.m.
  • Lakeview Stage: Jon Rouse at 1 p.m.; Joe Wray at 5 p.m.
  • Woody Stage: Tlalok Rodriguez at 11:15 a.m.; Keshena Armon at 3:15 p.m.; The Consequence at 6:15 p.m.
  • Wine Tent: Christopher’s Project at 11:30 a.m.; Smith & Binder Jazz at 2:30 p.m.; Father Sky at 4:30 p.m.; Downtown Harrison at 6:30 p.m.

Music is included with Zoo admission; parking, food, rides and attractions cost extra. Food vendors accept credit and debit cards rather than cash, although cash can be converted to a prepaid card at the Zoo Administration office. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices will be available. The Aviary closes at 3:30 p.m.; other animal buildings close one hour before the festival ends.
