A La Carte at the Zoo

The Zoo’s four-day food-and-music festival brings more than 30 Milwaukee restaurants, animal enrichment, giveaways, photo opportunities and entertainment to six stages. Thursday is Kids’ Day: Kid Boogie Down performs family and youth hip-hop at 11:30 a.m., and children ages 3–12 receive half-price admission from 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. when tickets are purchased in person. Children under two remain free.

• Zoofari Stage: Los Mitoteros at noon; Alley Eyes at 2 p.m.; Bellends at 4 p.m.; 5 Card Studs at 6 p.m.
• Lakeview Stage: Laura Bomber Duo at 1 p.m.; Allison Mahal at 3 p.m.; Bill Stone Duo at 5 p.m.
• Woody Stage: Derek Sallmann at 11:15 a.m.; Chris Esenberg at 3:15 p.m.; Mission Accomplished at 6:15 p.m.
• Wine Tent: Donna Woodall at 11:30 a.m.; Marcya Daneille at 2:30 p.m.; Kaprice Maxwell at 4:30 p.m.; Downtown Harrison at 6:30 p.m.

Music is included with Zoo admission; parking, food, rides and attractions cost extra. Food vendors accept credit and debit cards rather than cash, although cash can be converted to a prepaid card at the Zoo Administration office. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices will be available. The Aviary closes at 3:30 p.m.; other animal buildings close one hour before the festival ends.
