MUVE Volunteer Workday

Families can help restore Miami’s coastal habitat through hands-on community science. Volunteers will remove non-native plants and clean the beach to improve conditions for native species; all tools and materials are supplied.

What to bring

• A reusable water bottle
• Closed-toe shoes
• Sun and insect protection
• Clothes that can get dirty

Check-in is beside the restoration plot near the rear of the park. Enter through the park gate, continue beyond the main parking lot, and use “Historic Virginia Key Beach Park” for GPS directions. Parking is complimentary. Participants must complete the liability waiver included with registration, and community-service forms can be signed after the workday.
