Campers use the botanic garden as a living laboratory while exploring the natural systems that keep the planet working. This hands-on week combines science, engineering, and environmental stewardship as participants design creative solutions intended to protect those systems.

Camp logistics

  • For ages 10–12
  • A snack is provided; campers should bring a sack lunch and water bottle
  • Most of the day is spent outside, so sunscreen and insect repellent may be useful
  • Drop-off begins at 8:50 a.m. and pickup ends at 3:10 p.m.; an adult must sign the child in and out each day
  • No childcare is available outside those times, and late or early care incurs a per-minute fee

Registration closes two weeks before camp unless the limited enrollment fills sooner. The Garden may cancel a camp with insufficient enrollment. Cancellations made at least two weeks ahead receive a 50% refund; later cancellations are nonrefundable.
