Crosstown
Memphis guitarist, keyboardist, arranger, and educator Gerard Harris interprets music associated with jazz guitarists Pat Martino and Pat Metheny. The program connects Martino’s long career in soul jazz and modern jazz with Metheny’s wide-ranging blend of jazz, classical guitar, rock, folk, and electronic sound.
Harris has toured internationally with Kool & the Gang, became the University of Memphis’s first jazz-guitar instructor, founded World Soul Project, and continues to teach music in Memphis schools.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance plus fees or $30 at the door. The Concourse garage offers free parking.
