Native Plant Palooza combines a native-plant sale with outdoor learning for the whole family. Community experts will lead programs on foraging, trees, wildlife-friendly gardening, and Mid-South native plants.
Program schedule
- 10:30 a.m. — Foraging 101 with Tara Henderson
- 11:30 a.m. — Our Terrific Trees with Richard Beckwith
- 12:30 p.m. — Planting Natives for Wildlife with Mary Schmidt
- 1:30 p.m. — Mid-South Natives with Habitat Harry
Young gardeners can play in Discovery Forest, meet animal ambassadors in the Backyard Wildlife Center, and make crafts with natural materials. Lichterman also offers nearly three miles of trails through its lake, meadow, and forest habitats.
