Kicking Butt 5K

This family-friendly run/walk supports the Colon Cancer Prevention Project. Participants are invited to dress as superheroes, with capes encouraged, and the event includes games for families. Children should be registered in advance, with an option to request a cape package; leashed four-legged companions are also welcomed by the event listing.

The program includes a keynote from retired fire chief and colon-cancer survivor Mark Furnish, who shares his experience to encourage timely screening and prevention.
