Young artists spend the week turning imagined worlds into art with KMAC educators. Inspired by the museum’s summer exhibitions, campers work across several media—including puppets, painting, and felt sculpture—to explore how artists make imaginary places and ideas tangible.

Schedule and arrival

  • Full-day camp runs 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; drop-off is 8:30–9 a.m. and pickup is 4–4:30 p.m.
  • Morning-only camp runs 9 a.m.–noon; pickup is noon–12:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon-only camp runs 1–4 p.m.; drop-off is 12:30–1 p.m.
  • Full-day campers have indoor or outdoor playtime from noon–1 p.m.

Campers should bring lunch, a water bottle, and morning and afternoon snacks; KMAC does not provide food or drinks. Lunch is planned outdoors when weather permits, with the classroom or an outdoor canopy used when it rains. Camp size is limited to 20, and the museum provides classroom sanitation plus handwashing and sanitizing stations.
