Private investigator Eddie Valiant takes an unusual case from cartoon star Roger Rabbit in a comic mystery set in 1930s Los Angeles. Robert Zemeckis’s film combines live action and animation while bringing together familiar cartoon characters from multiple studios.
The film won Academy Awards for editing, sound-effects editing, and visual effects after also receiving nominations for art direction, cinematography, and sound. Animation director Richard Williams received a Special Achievement Award. The 1988 film runs 107 minutes, is rated PG, and will be shown digitally in English.
