Twelve-year-old Harriet Welsch spends her time observing everyone around her and recording private thoughts in a secret notebook. When the notebook’s contents are exposed, she finds herself at odds with her classmates and even her closest friends. The coming-of-age story follows Harriet through the confusion and hurt of the preteen years as she learns to face the consequences of her spying and repair her relationships.

Bronwen Hughes made her feature-directing debut with this first theatrical film from Nickelodeon. Michelle Trachtenberg stars alongside Rosie O’Donnell, Vanessa Lee Chester, and Gregory Smith.
