The program begins with a presentation of Choo Choo Revue, followed by a behind-the-scenes conversation about how Bob Baker Marionette Theater created its first new show in 40 years and built more than 100 puppets.
Craft Contemporary executive director Rody N. Lopez hosts a discussion with director Alex Evans, fabrication head Kevin Beltz, and puppeteers Ginger Duncan, Kahbia Sada, Sean Wejebe, and Elena Humpherys. Topics include puppet fabrication, performance, preservation, and innovation in craft. Doors open at 4 PM. Guests younger than 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.
