Route
- Begin at the Sandstone Quarry Parking Lot on the one-way Scenic Drive.
- Follow the graded gravel path downhill from the trailhead to the visible historic quarry blocks and interpretive signs.
- Turn around among the main quarry features and climb the same path back to the parking lot.
Good to know
The route descends from the parking lot, so its approximately 30 feet of gain comes on the return. BLM does not publish numeric grade, cross-slope, width, or loose-gravel depth and says the trail is not accessible to strollers or most standard mobility devices. Scenic Drive fees, reservations, and closures apply.
