Good to know
The trail crosses a gravelly wash with rocks up to small-boulder size; BLM recommends the ability to lift feet at least four inches and suggests trekking poles for balance. The wash will likely be impassable after rain. The current 2026 guide lists 47 feet of gain while the accessibility page says about 30 feet; both official values remain visible in research.
