Brass Rewind brings a high-energy Rock and R&B horn-band performance to the museum lawn, with music associated with Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Average White Band, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and other well-known artists. Gates open 30 minutes before the concert.
PH Coffee’s trailer will sell hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones. Beer, wine, and specialty cocktails will also be available from Elixir on the Lawn; alcohol sales are card-only, and outside alcohol is prohibited. Museum members age 21 or older receive one complimentary drink.
What to bring and know
- Picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs are welcome.
- Dogs are permitted.
- Organizers recommend bringing bug spray.
- Restrooms are in the Carriage House.
- Children 12 and younger attend free with an accompanying adult.
Parking and accessibility
Free street parking is available on Gladstone Boulevard and around the museum grounds on North Indiana, Norledge, and Walrond avenues. Observe posted restrictions and avoid private driveways. The main entrance is at the south gate on Gladstone Boulevard. Accessible parking, a ramp, and an elevator lift are available at the west gate on Norledge Avenue near the park; notify museum staff upon arrival if assistance is needed.
